Tom Donohue, Chair
Position 3 Term: 4 Years 6/30/2027
I’m a native Oregonian born September 15, 1950. I’m a fiscal conservative with a technical analyst skill set.
I’ve lived in Tillamook County since 1980. I retired from the Oregon State Lottery in late 2017 where I had worked since 1992 as a Technical Support Specialist. I served in the Oregon Army National Guard from 1970 to 1978. Prior to working for the Lottery, I was a doryman commercial salmon fisher, fishing coastal ports from Warrenton to Brookings. Full bio
I’m proud to serve as a Director of the Pacific City Dorymen’s Association in which I chaired its Memorial Wall Committee creating a 30 ton memorial monument at Cape Kiwanda in 2009. I’ve also chaired the Pacific City Planning Advisory Committee, and formally served as a Director of the Nestucca Valley Community Alliance with the goal of creating a community park, skating facility as well as an interpretive center.
As the former Flag Committee Chair for the Nestucca Valley Lions Club, I initiated and maintained the US flags display on the Beachy Bridge on flag days for several years; a practice that the Lions Club still maintains to this day.
I’m an elected Union Precinct Committee Person as well as the former Chairman of the Tillamook County Republican Central Committee for the last 9 years. As former candidates for Oregon’s House of Representatives District 10, Tillamook County Commissioner and as a long-time resident of Tillamook County, I’ve been fortunate to be exposed to the financial, educational, infrastructure and social needs of our coastal communities, the unique agricultural farming traditions in Tillamook County, tourist industry concerns, as well as the natural resource access needs of our fishing and logging industries.
